Goodreads Summary: Eron De Marchelle isn't supposed to feel a connection. He is a Sandman, a supernatural being whose purpose is to seduce human charges to sleep. While he can communicate with his charges in their dreams, he isn't encouraged to--after all, getting too involved in one human's life would prevent him helping his other charges get their needed rest.

But he can't deny that he feels something for Julia. Julia, with her fiery red hair and her sad dreams. Just weeks ago, her boyfriend died in a car accident, and Eron can tell that she feels more alone than ever. Eron was human once too, many years ago, and he remembers how it felt to lose the one he loved. Eron has always felt protective of Julia . . . but now, when she seems to need him more than ever, he can't seem to reach her . . .

Sandmen are forbidden from communicating with humans outside their dreams. But will Eron be willing to risk everything for a chance to be with the person he loves?

Review: I loved the authors first book Fairy Tale and for some reason I had it in my mind that this book was a sequel or companion book so imagine my surprise when I entered a whole new story!

I really enjoyed the whole concept of the Sandman and how they come to be...very ingenious! Julia is a very likable character who is full of secrets. She has been hurt before and the death of her boyfriend brings back feelings of being conspicuous for all the wrong reasons. We don't know what happened to Julia but she is obviously scarred in both senses of the word.

As Julia deals with Griffin's death, Eron is dealing with trying to let of Julia and becoming human again (there is a weird twist here but I'll let you find that out in the book!) Julia has three guys that have a whole have a whole mixture of feelings for her and things get pretty emotional for everyone.

The crux of the situation here is will Eron break the rules of the Sandman and contact Julia once he is human? What is driving him to do so? He makes for a very swoon-worthy romantic guy who I couldn't help but cheer for to get the girl....but will he?

Suspense, romance and star-crossed lovers...what do you expect when you're dealing with a ghost, a Sandman and guy with questionable intentions?

Great read! Well written and fast-paced I really enjoyed the story. Some mention of sexual situations and drinking make this best suited for 14 years old and above.
