Lets Shake it Up a Bit!

Friday February 12, 2010

I've seen some other blogs do this lately so I thought I would check too because it is VERY easy for me to get in a rut and do the same boring things over and over because its easy hence the "shake it up" intro...

Anyway, I would really appreciate some input about what you like to see on book blogs. I know that "In My Mailbox" is popular, same with contests and so is "Waiting on Wednesday" and of course it wouldn't be a book blog without reviews but what about the following:

  • author interviews
  • author guest blogs
  • personal "fun" stuff about the blog writer (yours truly)
  • my deep insights and random stuff (ha ha)
  • a daily diary of my super exciting life (again ha ha)

See the problem? Help me out people! What would you like to see on a blog that you haven't seen or rarely see? Is there stuff related to the book/library world that you desperately need to know about?

Let me know what you think....please!

Aloha aloha!!!

On my blog I post a mix of books and personal stuff...=)

I think some interesting personal things would be great but not too personal. For instance, if you recently tried a new dish tell us about it... maybe even a photo.
If you want to do a diary... I would say weekly.

Hmmmm, I think your readers would be interested in anything you put out!!=)

How about some deep insights that we can talk about? Though I admit it is not as easy as it sounds. I am trying to generate talk on my blog, but find it hard to come up with a weekly subject. It is nice though when something I say gets people talking.
Book reviews are great, but book chatter would take us beyond just simply reading other people's reviews. I see it as a way of connecting with our growing community.

You know one thing that I think would interest us. Having an author's agent here for an interview. A lot of us readers are writers in secret and would love to ask some of the questions that only they can answer. I realize that a lot of the answers would have to be generalities. But I bet they would have some stories to tell.
