The Good Girl's Guide to Getting Kidnapped
by Yxta Maya Murray
Available January 2010

Princess P is the fast bad girl Michelle Pena used to be: the dirty dancing, foul mouthed, gang-princess daughter of Reina, Queen of the 99's, one of the most formidable gangs in California. Princess P was once set to inherit supremacy over her own gang, the Snakes. With Silver, the love of her life and partner in crime, she was unstoppable--until Reina got thrown in jail, her brother Samson got carted off to juvie, and everything in her old world went extinct.

Now Michelle's turned her life around with a devoted foster-pop, a prestigious scholarship on the horizon, and a new best friend. Kiki knows nothing about Michelle's gang-princess past. But what Michelle doesn't know is that the Snakes are back, and they'll do anything for the blood money Samson still has. Anything, including holding his beloved sister for ransom. When Silver brutally kidnaps Michelle and Kiki, Michelle has to put to use everything her mama taught her about being Princess P.

Michelle has one shot at freedom. One more chance to be herself. But will she survive long enough to discover who she really is?

Rampant

Forget everything you ever knew about unicorns . . .

Real unicorns are venomous, man-eating monsters with huge fangs and razor-sharp horns. Fortunately, they've been extinct for a hundred and fifty years.

Or not.

Astrid had always scoffed at her eccentric mother's stories about killer unicorns. But when one of the monsters attacks her boyfriend—thereby ruining any chance of him taking her to the prom—Astrid finds herself headed to Rome to train as a unicorn hunter at the ancient cloisters the hunters have used for centuries.

However, at the cloisters all is not what it seems. Outside, the unicorns wait to attack. And within, Astrid faces other, unexpected threats: from the crumbling, bone-covered walls that vibrate with a terrible power to the hidden agendas of her fellow hunters to—perhaps most dangerously of all—her growing attraction to a handsome art student . . . an attraction that could jeopardize everything.
